How I Created a Veo Video with ChatGPT and Gemini

Recently, I experimented with making many Veo videos using two AI tools together: ChatGPT and Gemini. I thought I’d share my process with you because it was easier (and more fun) than I expected.

Step 1: Planning with ChatGPT

I started by using ChatGPT to help me structure the video. Instead of staring at a blank page, I asked it to:

  • Draft a script based on my topic

  • Suggest a flow for intro, main points, and closing

  • Recommend simple visuals to match the script

This cut down a lot of planning time and gave me a clear direction before I even opened Veo.

Step 2: Refining with Gemini

Once I had the draft, I moved to Gemini to polish it. I used Gemini to:

  • Rephrase sentences so they sounded natural when spoken aloud

  • Check the pacing (too long vs. too short lines)

  • Add a bit of creativity in tone so the script wasn’t too flat

The two tools complemented each other well — ChatGPT gave me structure, Gemini added finesse.

Step 3: Producing in Veo

With the final script ready, I uploaded it into Veo. From there, I chose:

  • I wrote the mood of my message

  • I used stock visuals suggested by the platform

  • I prompted it to remove the subtitles generated because it doesn't work well

In less than an hour, I had a professional-looking video ready to share.
